The Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of a home health agency by performing a variety of clerical tasks. The role ensures accurate documentation, assists clinical staff, communicates with patients and families, and upholds compliance with healthcare regulations
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED (required); associates degree or health care admin certifications (preferred)
Administrative experience, preferably in health care or home health setting.
Protient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems (EHR) systems.
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under deadlines
Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities
Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and provide excellent customer service to clients, families, and staff.
Schedule and confirm home visits for nurses, aides, and therapist.
Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records. (EHR) systems.
Assist with billing insurance verifications and authorizations.
Prepare reports, letters, and other documents for clinical and administrative staff.
Monitor and order office supplies; manage inventory for patient related materials.
Track staff license, certifications, and in-service trainings compliance.
Assist with onboarding of new employees (collecting documents, arranging training).
Ensure confidentiallity and HIPAA compliance at all times.
